When Young Moms Thrive Report

When Young Moms Thrive, We All Do was a pilot initiative led by the Young Women's Freedom Center and Alliance for Girls to center the voices, expertise, and stories of young moms in Santa Clara County. 

Local YWFC young mother Interns were resourced, trained, and paid to collect data from 150 other young mothers to share their stories, highlighting how they navigate motherhood, stigma in systems, and equity gaps.  The When Young Moms Thrive: Reimagining Child Care, Community, and Young Motherhood research report sets out policy recommendations for how Santa Clara County and the larger State of California can better support young moms and their unique needs.
